An adult unit leader and the Senior Patrol Leader are to report to HQ for orientation upon arrival. Unit leaders are to bring a copy of their approved tour permit, adult/youth roster, and a copy of the Guide to Safe Scouting in order to earn their Adult Leader Bonus Points (max. 50 pts).
Lights-out and Quiet Time
Please be Friendly and Courteous to all fellow campers.
Troops are encouraged to camp Friday night. But for those who can't and the Webelos dens, check-in Saturday morning begins at 7:00 AM and ends at 8:00 AM. See "Check-in and Registration" above for check-in procedures.
Station Volunteer Meeting
A quick station volunteer meeting will take place at 8:00 am sharp. This meeting will cover scoring procedures and last minute details for each station.
A troop will conduct a flag ceremony and the director will go over last minute details, competition rules, and site regulations. Stations will open for competition immediately following the opening ceremony and end at lunch time.
Attendees will bring their own eating bowls/plates/cup and utensils. We will be serving hot dogs, chili, chips, cookies and hot chocolate. If there are any special dietary needs, please bring an alternative.
No more than 8 scouts per sled. The sled must be unit-made in order to enter race. One scout must be transported in the sled during the race.
Immediately following the sled race, awards and prizes will be given out.
Participants are responsible for removing all camp remains including fire remnants, ashes and refuse before leaving. Although the Klondike Derby is officially over Saturday afternoon, units may elect to camp through Sunday.
